Lestat

I have always been captivated by vampires with their intoxicating allure, eternal existence, and enigmatic presence in the night. With Interview With the Vampire as my muse, I created this piece, “Lestat” as a tribute to Anne Rice’s legendary character.

This 39x29-inch vintage upcycled canvas, crafted from wood, carries a soul of its own. For the background, I decoupaged pages from Tale of the Body Thief, embedding the words that shaped Lestat’s world into the very fabric of the piece. Over this literary foundation, I painted a negative impression of Lestat using acrylics, allowing his presence to emerge from the text like a shadow stepping into the light.

A fusion of literature and art, this piece breathes new life into both the written word and canvas, capturing the timeless seduction of the Brat Prince himself.
